Good Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. shelled Spanish peanuts
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 to 3 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
Preparation
    In a large pot, put the sugar, water, syrup and peanuts.
    Cook until the peanuts pop and the sugar turns caramel in color.
    Take off fire and add margarine, soda and vanilla.
    Mix well; pour into pan to cool.
    Break in pieces.
