Party Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. can tomatoes
    1 large onion, sliced
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard or may use prepared mustard
    1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut into serving pieces (have butcher run the meat through the tenderizer)
    1/4 tsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Salt and pepper the meat.
    You can flour the meat, but I leave the flour off.
    Brown in hot shortening or oil.
    Pour off excess grease.
