Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 potatoes, sliced
    1 onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. hot milk
    3/4 c. sharp cheese, grated
Preparation
    Melt butter in double boiler or saucepan.
    Add flour and seasoning; stir smooth.
    Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly. When it thickens, melt the grated cheese in the sauce.
    Put in a buttered baking dish or casserole with layers of the sliced potatoes, onion and cheese sauce, repeating until all ingredients are used.
    Bake in a moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
