Rhubarb Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. oatmeal
    1/2 c. melted shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    4 c. diced rhubarb
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients together until crumbly.
    Press half into a greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Put remaining ingredients in saucepan; cook until clear and thick.
    Pour over crumbs.
    Top with remaining crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Cool.
    Serve with whipped cream.
