Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. orange juice
    1 egg
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. cranberries, coarsely chopped
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix sugar, shortening, orange
    juice and egg until well mixed. In a separate
    bowl,
    mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Pour the
    egg
    mixture
    into the flour mixture and stir until dry ingredients are thoroughly moistened.
    Stir in cranberries and nuts.
    Spread
    in a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0
    until
    bread
    is
    golden
    brown and a pick inserted comes out clean.
    Cool before storing.
