Aunt Fannie'S Baked Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. summer squash
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. cracker crumbs
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 eggs
    1/2 stick butter
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Cut up, boil, drain and mash summer squash.
    Add 1/2 cup onion, pepper, eggs, 1/2 stick butter, sugar and salt.
    Mix well.
    Put into baking dish.
    Pour 1/2 cup butter on top and sprinkle with cracker crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
