Ingredients

1 pt. honey
1 pt. cane molasses or sorghum
2 c. dark brown sugar
1 lb. flour
6 eggs
1 lb. light brown sugar
1/2 lb. chopped pecans
1/2 lb. citron, finely diced
1 Tbsp. ground mace
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp. soda
2 lb. flour
Preparation

In saucepan, bring honey, molasses or sorghum and dark brown sugar to boil.
Let cool, then add 1 pound flour.
Combine eggs, light brown sugar, pecans and citron.
Sift together mace, cinnamon, soda and 2 pounds flour.
Mix all together, bringing to bread dough consistency.
Add extra flour as needed.
Put in covered container and let sit at room temperature for 3 days. (Don't peek!)
