2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
3 c. finely chopped raw apples, peeled

Note: Can dust with powdered sugar after baking or cover with Rum Glaze (following).
