Date-Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    1 lb. dates, chopped
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix together dates, butter, baking soda and water and let cool. Then add other ingredients.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool before removing from tins (tin size 9 x 5 1/2-inch).
