Great Grandma'S Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/4 c. white syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
2 egg whites
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Heat sugar, water, syrup and salt. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cook without stirring until mixture reaches hard-ball stage.
