Raisin-Apple Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. raisins
2 apples, peeled and diced
1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 1/2 c. flour

Preparation

In a saucepan combine raisins and diced apples.
Add water to cover.
Cook until tender, making sure you have 1 cup liquid after removing fruit.
