Cornish Pastry Dough Or Pie And Apple Bar Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. (2 c.) lard
    5 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    cold water
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder and cut lard, until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.
    In 1 cup measuring cup break egg and add vinegar.
    Fill with cold water.
    Stir together.
    Mix liquid with dry ingredients.
    Roll thin, cut with 10-inch pot lid.
    Fill and fold over, crimp, then roll edges.
    Bake or spread 1/2 on cookie sheet.
    Fill with apple pie filling top with second half. Bake for apple bars.
    Bake 350\u00b0 for about 1/2 hour or until brown on top.
