Southern Peanut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/4 c. dark corn syrup
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 c. coarsely chopped salted peanuts
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    In a large bowl, beat eggs until foamy.
    Add sugar, corn syrup, butter, salt and vanilla.
    Continue to beat until thoroughly blended.
    Stir in peanuts.
    Pour into pie shell and bake at 375\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes or until set.
    Serve warm or cold.
    Garnish with whipped cream or ice cream.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
