Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium onions, sliced 1/4-inch thick
    16 saltine crackers, crushed
    1 stick margarine (8 Tbsp.)
    1 Tbsp. margarine (to grease dish)
    1 can cream of mushroom soup (10 1/2 oz.)
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
    1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Saute onions in margarine over medium heat until clear and tender.
    Grease a 2-quart casserole (8 x 11 x 2-inch).
    Reserve 3 tablespoons of cracker crumbs for topping and line dish with remaining crumbs.
    Add onion and soup in alternate layers until dish is full.
    cover the top with beaten eggs and pour milk over. Sprinkle on grated cheese and reserved cracker crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
