Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. granulated sugar
    2/3 c. corn syrup
    2/3 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 c. nuts
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup, water and salt in saucepan (I use a number 8 large skillet).
    Do not stir after sugar is dissolved.
    Cook until boiling syrup, when dropped from spoon in cold water, forms a hard, almost brittle ball (265\u00b0 by thermometer).
    Remove from fire.
