Hush Puppy Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1/2 tsp. ground thyme
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. minced green onion
    1 c. boiling water
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    dash of Tabasco
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 500\u00b0.
    Spray small cup muffin tin with nonstick vegetable coating.
    Mix dry ingredients, including onion, with a fork.
    Make a well in center and pour in the boiling water. Stir briskly.
    Stir in beaten egg, margarine and Tabasco.
    Spoon 2 tablespoons batter into each muffin cup.
    Bake 15 or 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
    Makes a dozen small muffins.
