Tennessee Pudding Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar (white)
    2 sticks margarine
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    4 eggs
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Grease and flour tube pan.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Mix soda and milk and allow to stand until doubled.
    Add eggs to butter and sugar.
    Cream thoroughly.
    Add milk and soda.
    Add flour and pinch of salt.
    Beat until well mixed.
    Add dates, nuts and coconut.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300\u00b0.
