Red Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 oz. red food coloring
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Make paste with eggs and food coloring.
    Add salt, buttermilk and flour to mixture.
    Mix vanilla, vinegar and soda together; fold into cake batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
