Molasses Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2/3 c. milk
2/3 c. molasses
2 1/8 c. pastry or cake flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. mace
seeded raisins, cut in pieces and dredged in 1/2 c. flour
citron, cut in thin strips and dredged in flour
Preparation

Butter and flour a loaf pan.
Set the oven at 350\u00b0.
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, milk and molasses. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice, ground cloves and mace. Add to the creamed mixture.
Stir in raisins and citron. Spoon into the pan and bake about 40 minutes.
