Smothered Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 soup can water
Preparation
    Combine flour, pepper and salt.
    Pound into steak with mallet. Brown steak in large skillet containing the shortening.
    Add soup and water.
    Cover; cook over low heat about 45 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
