Mystery Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cubes butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 tube (40) soda crackers
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Line cookie sheet with foil and spray with Pam.
Place soda crackers on cookie sheet.
Bring butter and brown sugar to rolling boil; stir and boil 3 minutes (no longer) or to soft ball stage on candy thermometer.
Pour over soda crackers.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 6 to 8 minutes (no longer).
Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over mixture.
Spread as they melt.
Sprinkle with nuts; pat nuts into chocolate.
Refrigerate for 1 hour and break into pieces.
Keep in cookie can or Ziploc bags.
Will keep 2 to 3 weeks.
Tastes like English toffee.
