Kona Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 frying chickens
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. five spice powder
1/2 tsp. m.s.g. (optional)
6 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. whiskey
1 c. shoyu sauce
3/4 c. water
1 stalk green onion, chopped
chopped fresh ginger to taste
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
Preparation

Simmer sauce ingredients for 10 minutes.
Lay chicken pieces skin side down in sauce. Cover and simmer 25 minutes on each side. May be served hot or cold.
