Boiled Bacon Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 c. cream
Preparation
    Fry bacon slowly.
    In
    a
    saucepan, put sugar with salt and cornstarch.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Add
    beaten egg and vinegar. Cook to desired thickness.\tThis
    is
    a
    hot dressing for over dandelion, endive or garden lettuce.
