Vanilla Butternut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. vanilla-butternut flavoring
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar on High speed of mixer for 5 minutes.
    Add eggs, one at a time; beating well.
    Add 1 cup flour; beat at slower speed for 1 minute.
    Add remaining flour and milk alternately, beating until well mixed.
    Add flavoring.
    Pour into three (9-inch) pans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
