Strike-It-Rich Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 layer size) pkg. cake mix or pudding included mix
    2 (4 serving size) pkg. Jell-O brand instant pudding and pie filling
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    4 c. cold milk
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix as directed on package, baking in a
    9 x 13-inch pan.
    Remove from oven.
    Poke holes at once down through the cake to the pan with round handle of a wooden spoon.
    Holes should be at 1-inch intervals.
    Only after poking holes, combine pudding mix with sugar in large bowl.
    Gradually stir in milk. Then beat at low speed for not more than 1 minute.
    Do not overbeat.
    Quickly before pudding thickens, pour about 1/2 of the thin pudding evenly over warm cake and into the holes to make the strips.
    Allow remaining pudding to thicken slightly; then spoon over the top, swirling it to frost the cake.
    Chill at least one hour.
    Store cake in refrigerator.
