Pinto Bean Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. dry pinto beans, rinsed well
1 lb. chopped onion
1 1/2 lb. ham or bacon, cut up in squares
2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
-
In 4-quart pan put beans and onion and salt into 2-quarts of water.
Put in ham or bacon, stirring occasionally.
Cook for 2 1/2 hours or until tender.
