Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. candied pineapple, citron, orange peel and cherries
    2 c. moist currants
    1 lb. dates
    1 lb. moist figs
    1 lb. seedless raisins
    1 1/2 c. nuts
    1 c. syrup
    1 c. brandy
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon, allspice and cloves
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    dash of salt
    1 1/2 lb. oleo
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    12 eggs
    1 c. molasses
Preparation
    Cut up fruits and mix all ingredients well!
    Make a syrup from 1/2 cup sugar and 1 cup water; boil 3 minutes and pour over cake mixture.
    Prepare baking pans, lining them with greased wax paper. Pour in pans; brush top with milk and bake slow at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour.
