Grandma Lancaster'S Raisin Cake(No Eggs Or Milk Products) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar, white or brown
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. Crisco
    1 lb. raisins
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. nuts or dried fruit (optional)
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix sugar, water, spices and Crisco; bring to boil and boil 3 minutes.
    Cool.
    Mix soda and baking powder in small amount of water; pour into cooked mixture.
    Add flour and nuts.
    Pour into Bundt pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
