Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 heaping Tbsp. flour
    3 egg yolks
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 can Baker's coconut
Preparation
    Mix sugar and flour. Add beaten egg yolks and milk. After mixing well, cook over boiling water until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Now add in vanilla, butter and coconut, reserving a little of the coconut to sprinkle over top of meringue.
    Pour into baked pastry shell.
    Beat egg whites until stiff, adding 6 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Spread on top of pie. Sprinkle coconut on top and brown at 425\u00b0.
