German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 large potatoes, cooked
1/2 lb. bacon, fry out, drain and save grease
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 onion, cut up
1/2 c. celery (optional)
Preparation

Bring water and vinegar to a boil.
Mix sugar and cornstarch with a little vinegar and water and mix with rest of liquid. Bring to a boil.
Add bacon grease about 2 tablespoons.
Mix potatoes, bacon, onion and salt and pepper.
Pour sauce over potatoes.
Put in oven and bake at least 1 hour at 300\u00b0. Hard-boiled eggs and parsley are optional.
