Herb And Parsley Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 Tbsp. parsley
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning (optional)
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. sage
Preparation

Cut shortening into flour, spices, baking powder and salt with pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Stir in milk. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto hot meat or vegetables in boiling stew or thick soup.
Try not to drop directly into liquid.
Cook, uncovered, 10 minutes.
Cover and cook 10 minutes longer.
(I use these for homemade, from scratch chicken and dumplings.)
