Ingredients

1 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 extra large eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
4 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
apricot jam
powdered sugar (icing)
Preparation

Mix butter, sugar and eggs until creamy.
Add vanilla.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Add flour mixture to egg mixture and blend to soft firm dough.
