Haystacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. cream
    1/4 c. molasses
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 lb. coconut
    3 tsp. butter
Preparation
    In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, cream, molasses and salt.
    Bring to a soft boil over medium heat.
    Remove from heat and add coconut and butter.
    Mix well.
    Pour onto a buttered platter and cool.
    When cool enough to handle, form into haystacks.
    Place on a buttered platter.
    Makes 2 dozen.
