Dilled Okra Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. young okra (2 to 2 1/2 inches long)
celery leaves
garlic cloves
1 large head dill or 1/2 tsp. seed per each jar
1 qt. water
1 pt. white vinegar
1/2 c. salt
1 slice hot pepper
Preparation

Pack scrubbed okra in pint jars (do not cut off stems).
On top of the okra, lay several fresh celery leaves, one piece of garlic, a slice of pepper and the dill (do for each jar).
Mix brine and bring to boil.
Pour over okra; seal immediately.
Let stand at least 3 weeks.
