Sunken Cherry Cake Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter or margarine, softened
    8 egg yolks
    3 whole eggs
    1 Oetker baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    2 pkg. Oetker vanilla sugar
    3 c. flour
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Mix all ingredients together, except for pie filling.
    Put cherries one after another, leaving about 1/2-inch space in between on top of batter.
    (They will sink while baking.)
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until cake tested is done.
