Ketchup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. ripe tomatoes, quartered
    2 Tbsp. pickling salt
    2 c. white vinegar
    3 c. white sugar
    2 Tbsp. pickling spices
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon stick pieces or 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1 tsp. ground dry mustard
    1/2 to 1 onion, chopped
    1/2 to 1 green pepper, chopped
    4 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Boil all ingredients except cornstarch and 1/4 cup vinegar for one hour.
    Put through a food mill.
    Return liquid to a boil Add cornstarch and 1/4 cup vinegar and whisk into juice.
    Bring to a boil and boil for 10 minutes.
    Put in sterile jars and seal.
