Strawberries And Cream Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
    1 1/2 c. cold water
    1 (4 serving) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
    2 c. (1 pt.) whipping cream, whipped
    1 (12 oz.) prepared loaf pound cake, cut into cubes (about 6 c.)
    1 qt. fresh strawberries, cleaned, hulled and sliced
    1/2 c. strawberry preserves
    additional fresh strawberries
    toasted, slivered almonds
Preparation
    In large bowl, combine milk and water.
    Add pudding mix and beat well.
    Chill 5 minutes.
    Fold in whipped cream.
    Spoon 2 cups pudding mixture into 4-quart glass serving bowl.
    Top with half each of the cake cubes, sliced strawberries, preserves and remaining pudding.
    Repeat layering, ending with pudding.
    Garnish with strawberries and almonds.
    Chill thoroughly.
    Refrigerate leftovers.
