Black Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. black beans
    1/2 gal. water
    1 large onion
    3 green peppers
    1 clove garlic
    1/2 c. olive oil
    1/4 ham bone
    3 bay leaves
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 oz. white bacon
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Wash beans thoroughly and soak overnight in water.
    Use this water for cooking.
    Fry slightly the onion, green pepper and garlic in olive oil.
    Combine all ingredients, except vinegar, which is added a few minutes before beans are ready to serve. Cook with low heat until beans are tender and the liquid is of thick consistency.
