Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 egg yolks
1 c. water
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. burnt sugar
1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 egg whites, beaten
3 drops maple flavoring
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Put the 1/2 cup sugar in skillet and melt until an amber color, stirring constantly.
Add the 1/2 cup water and let it boil a short time until well mixed.
Set aside.
