Hamburger Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
2 c. cubed potatoes
2 medium carrots, sliced
1 1/2 qt. boiling water
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 c. uncooked rice
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Brown meat in Dutch oven.
Add tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, onion, salt, pepper and water.
Cover and bring to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer 45 minutes.
Add rice and simmer 20 or more minutes or until rice is done.
