Christmas Hard Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 3/4 c. white sugar
1 1/4 c. white syrup
1 c. boiling water
coloring
1 gram anise or 1/2 gram other oil flavor
powdered sugar

Preparation

Boil first 3 ingredients until 300\u00b0.
Add color and flavor. Pour on cookie sheet trays of powdered sugar and cut into pieces. I broke mine.
