Bavarian Date Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 pkg. strawberry jello
1/2 c. almonds, blanched and chopped
1 c. cream, whipped
6 drops almond extract
1 pt. boiling water
12 dates, seeded and cut
12 marshmallows, finely cut
1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Dissolve jello in boiling water; chill.
When slightly thickened, beat with eggbeater until of consistency of whipped cream.
Fold in almonds, dates and marshmallows, then the whipped cream to which almond flavoring and salt have been added.
Pour into loaf pan; chill until firm.
Serve in slices.
Serves 8 people.
