Marinated Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage, chopped
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 large bell pepper, sliced
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. oil
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Place chopped cabbage, bell pepper and onion in layers in dish.
    Boil vinegar, sugar, salt and celery seed for two minutes. Add oil. Bring to a boil.
    Pour over chopped vegetables while hot. Cover tightly.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Will keep in refrigerator for 4 to 6 days.
