Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    4 Tbsp. corn oil
    1 small can chopped green chilies
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 can whole kernel corn
    1 can pimentos
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 lb. grated cheese
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal and buttermilk; let stand 30 minutes.
    Mix remainder of ingredients while you wait.
    Sift flour, sugar, salt and soda into bowl; add egg and milk.
    Add chilies, pimentos, corn and cheese.
    Mix well.
    Bake in well-greased pan at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
