Ginger Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    1 egg
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix the molasses, sugar and butter.
    Add the egg beating all thoroughly.
    Then add the boiling water, soda, ginger, salt and enough flour to make a soft dough.
    Roll and cut into small pieces. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Put fruit between layers.
