Oatmeal Drop Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. dark brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. plain flour
3 c. raw quick cooking oats
Preparation

Cream shortening; add brown sugar and white sugar.
Blend thoroughly.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Add vanilla.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to first mixture.
This will be very stiff.
Add oatmeal and stir with a spoon.
After mixing well, drop by teaspoonful on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 8 dozen.
