Applesauce Cupcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped raisins
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    5 Tbsp. oleo
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. applesauce
Preparation
    Wash raisins in lukewarm water and cut into small pieces. Scald nuts and chop coarsely.
    Sift flour; measure and return to sifter.
    Add soda, salt and spices.
    Cream shortening; add sugar gradually.
    Add egg and beat until light.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce.
    Stir in nuts and raisins.
    Fill muffin tins 2/3 full.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
