Pittsburgh Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. diced potato
    1 small onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 jar pimiento strips
    1/2 lb. process cheese spread loaf
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
    3/4 tsp. salt
    fine dry breadcrumbs
    butter or margarine, cut up
Preparation
    Cook first 3 ingredients in boiling water to cover in a saucepan 15 minutes; drain and add pimiento strips.
    Cook cheese and next 4 ingredients in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until thoroughly heated and cheese melts.
    Pour cheese sauce over potato mixture and spoon into a baking dish.
    Top with breadcrumbs and dot with butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Yield:
    6 to 8 servings.
