Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Dissolve the yeast in warm water and set aside.
Mix the dry ingredients in the order given, cutting in the shortening as normally done for biscuits or pie dough.
Stir in the buttermilk, also the water and yeast mixture.
Blend thoroughly and the dough is ready to be refrigerated in a large, covered bowl or made into biscuits.
