Indian Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. milk
    1/3 c. corn meal
    3/4 c. dark molasses
    1/4 c. butter
    1 scant tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 well beaten egg
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Boil in top of double boiler the milk.
    Stir in corn meal. Cook 15 minutes, stirring often.
    Stir in dark molasses; cook 5 more minutes.
    Remove from heat; stir in butter, salt, ginger, sugar, egg, raisins and cinnamon.
    Pour into greased baking dish. Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0.
    Serve with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
